Easy Workflows for Jira

Getting started

Open Jira → Settings → Apps → Easy Workflows for Jira.
On Get started, take a snapshot or run Copy & verify. Copy & verify clones a workflow under a new name. It does not change the original.
When you are ready to move real workflows, use Migrate. Validate is read-only until you import.

You need to be a Jira administrator. The app manages workflow configuration.

What each tab does

Get started — first steps: protection, Copy & verify, then export.
Workflows — browse workflows and run a migration-risk scan (which rules will not survive a move).
Migrate — get a bundle, validate, then import. Nothing changes until you import.
Compare — diff two workflows (statuses, transitions, rules) to catch drift.
Backups — daily snapshots of changed workflows, manual snapshots, one-click restore. Paid.
History — audit log of what the app changed, when, and by whom.

Limits

Rules from other Marketplace apps cannot be recreated by Jira’s workflow API. The app reports each one with a re-add checklist.
Shared workflow schemes apply to company-managed projects. Team-managed projects use their own workflow system and are not shown.
Jira system workflows can be snapshotted but cannot be restored or edited.

Free vs paid

Free: Export, Compare, validation/preview, Copy & verify, Cleanup, viewing snapshots.
Paid (trial available): Import/update, apply to a project, manual and scheduled backups, restore. Jira’s standard free tier for 10 or fewer users applies.
